2025 KSPST Commemorative Symposium for Science Month Sets Record with Highest-Ever Attendance
The 2025 KSPST Commemorative Symposium for Science Month achieved a historic milestone by recording its highest-ever attendance. Held on April 11 at the Science & Technology Convention Center in Seoul, the event welcomed over 280 participants from academia, industry, and government sectors, making it the most attended symposium in the history of the Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (KSPST).
This year’s theme, "Recent Innovative Pharmaceutical Technology Strategies for Advanced Drug Delivery," brought together nine distinguished speakers who presented groundbreaking research on topics such as biomaterial-based immunotherapy, AI-driven drug discovery platforms, gene detection technologies, and biomimetic drug delivery systems. The symposium served as a dynamic forum for sharing the latest advancements in the field and highlighting the interdisciplinary approaches driving future innovations in pharmaceutical technology.
KSPST President, Dr. Hea-Young Cho, emphasized the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape of pharmaceutical sciences. She noted that the convergence of information and communication technologies (ICT) with pharmaceutical sciences offers significant opportunities for innovation in drug development. Dr. Cho reaffirmed KSPST's commitment to facilitating the exchange of knowledge and fostering collaboration among researchers to advance the field.
With record-breaking attendance and enthusiastic engagement from all sectors, the 2025 symposium underscored the critical role of pharmaceutical science in addressing modern healthcare challenges. KSPST plans to continue this momentum with future events, including 2025 KSPST Formulation Technology Workshop in September and 2025 International Conference of the KSPST in November.
